Yoga Classes and Retreats

I am a 200 RYT Yoga Alliance certified instructor. My classes are ideal for older adults and beginners. I provide detailed cueing that keeps you in tune with every posture and movement and I provide modifications often that you can apply when needed so that your practice is harmonious for your own body.

I teach yoga on Zoom Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8-9 AM Arizona time. Monday is Gentle Yoga, Wednesday is Flow Yoga, and Friday is Yoga Plus Bands (with some resistance band training). I have an unlisted Yoga channel on Zoom with more than 50 videos you can do at home 24/7. Please send me an email if you would like to subscribe to this. Cost is $120 per year.

Renewal by the Sea

Savor yoga and outdoor experiences in beautiful San Carlos Mexico. Practice yoga and meditation on beautiful San Francisco beach while you soak up awe-inspiring views of the aquamarine Sea of Cortez and the rugged volcanic mountains all around.  Paddle calm seas in the early morning and experience the bliss of being surrounded by bottlenose dolphins.

Discover the transformative power of yoga as you embark on a journey of self-exploration. Amidst the demands of daily life, yoga serves as a sanctuary, a sacred space where you can delve deep within and unearth the wellspring of joy that resides within you.

As you step onto your mat, you enter a realm where your focus turns inward. Each asana becomes an opportunity to cultivate awareness, to observe body sensations and messages, and to witness fluctuations of your mind. With each breath, you tap into the well of peace that resides within, awakening your true being.

Daily Schedule

May 19 (Sunday) 

Arrive at Bahia Delfin Condominiums in San Carlos or drive to the condos from where you live in San Carlos or Guaymas. Meet in front of the complex at the west end of the beach at 4:30 for introductions followed by a 30-minute beach walk. A light gluten-free dinner (salad of mixed greens, feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers; grilled chicken slices; cheese bread squares) will be served at my condo at 6:30 PM.

May 20 (Monday)

7:30 AM – Meet at the beach at the west end of Bahia Delfin for a 15-minute meditation.

8:00-9:00 AM – 60-Minute Gentle Yoga Practice (relaxation emphasis)

9:15-10:30 AM – Free time for breakfast, kayaking, sea swimming, beach walking, study (Optional breakfast with Karen Delaney #233)

10:30-12:30 – Lecture: Exploring the Breath (Pranayama) and Introduction to Yoga Nidra and 5 Koshas

12:30-3:30 – Lunch and rest (Optional massage)

3:30 PM – Yoga Nidra Session (Deep Rest and Relaxation) – Under beach tent or pool palapa

May 21 (Tuesday)

7:30 AM – Meet at the beach for a 15-minute meditation.

8:00-9:00 AM – 60-Minute Flow Yoga Practice (joint range-of-motion emphasis)

9:15-10:30 AM – Free time for breakfast, kayaking, sea swimming, beach walking, study (Optional breakfast with Karen Delaney #233).

10:30-12:30 – Lecture: Starting a Meditation Practice (Sonora Room)

2-5 PM Boat Trip with Ellen Paige and Fred Elling on Akavit, a 43-foot sailboat (Included)

May 22 (Wednesday)

7 AM – Meet at the beach in front of Bahia Delfin at the Pilar end of the complex for a 15-minute meditation followed by a two-hour kayak excursion (kayaks, paddles, and lifejackets included).

9:30-11:30 AM – Breakfast and Shower Break

11:30-1 – Lecture: Eight Limbs of Yoga – Learning to Live Your Practice (Sonora Room)

1-4 – Lunch and rest (Optional Massage)

4:00 PM – Yoga Nidra Session – Under beach tent or pool palapa

May 23 (Thursday)

7:30 AM – Meet at the beach in front of Bahia Delfin at the west end of the complex for a 30-minute walking meditation (in silence). You may talk until the walk begins.

8:15-9:15 AM – 60-Minute Gentle Yoga Practice (stretching and releasing emphasis)

9:15-10:30 AM – Free time for breakfast, kayaking, sea swimming, beach walking, study (Optional Breakfast with Karen Delaney #233).

10:30-12:30 – Lecture: Yoga for Intentional Living: Transform Your Mood, Heal Your Body, Melt Away Stress, Transform Your Life

12:30-3:30 – Lunch and rest (Optional 2-hour boat trip)

3:30 PM – Yoga Nidra Session – Under beach tent or pool palapa

May 24 (Friday)

7-8 AM – Meditation on your own

8:00-9:00 AM– 60-Minute Posture-Emphasis Flow Yoga Practice

9:00-10:30 AM – Free time for breakfast, kayaking, sea swimming, beach walking, study (Optional Breakfast with Karen Delaney #233).

10:30-12:00 – Lecture – Questions and Answers

12:00-3:30 – Lunch and rest (Optional Massage)

3:30 PM – Yoga Nidra Session – Under beach tent or pool palapa

6:00 PM – Group Dinner at a San Carlos Restaurant

May 25 (Saturday)

8 AM – Meditation and Gentle Yoga Practice (75 minutes).

9:15 AM – Continental breakfast at my condo, goodbyes, and travel home.

Included in the $500 USD retreat fee are all meditation and yoga sessions, lectures, handouts, a Tuesday afternoon boat trip, a week’s kayak rental, the first night’s dinner, and final breakfast. This fee does not cover transportation to San Carlos, additional meals, optional massages and breakfasts (provided by Karen Delaney), or rental of a condominium at Bahia Delfin.
